3Days Worth of Notable Links&Quotes from Around the Net
So I finally had the time to set up my RSS reader after months of lazi...eherm...busyness. Here are some notable posts that caught my eye from a collection of posts from the span of the past 3 days. 1. Rick Warren sending his Purpose Driven ministry to South East Asia, Philippines. “I… I’m uh… I’m uh… I need … I’m gonna need help to know why I should feel bad about this decision.”- John Piper defending ...

“Gospel-Centrality”, a Mere Buzz Word?
Dawned upon a tweet by WhiteHorseInn. It had a link. Clicked the link. Read the short article. And now I share. I think we should take heed to the discerning thoughts of the writer. Much like how being "Reformed" is being reduced to holding on to the 5 points and none else, not allowing the whole life, theology and practice be reformed. Let us not take lightly phrases like "Gospel-centered". Instead, let us labor to ...

Christian faith: Calvinism is back
Saw this posted by Al Hartman (a good friend over at facebook), an article posted in Yahoo! News of all places on the resurgence of Calvinism. Apparently it's a post from "The Christian Science Monitor". ((Al Hartman: "The Church of Christ, Scientist" is a cult which is neither Christian nor scientific. The "Monitor" may be the most objective publication out there, but I'd be surprised to find true Christians writing for it. See: [link])) Very, very good, balanced ...

Stand Firm
Enjoyed the teampyro blogpost yet again, the one for today. Or 'yesterday', the 26th. I liked how Phil Johnson put point to fact that [in my own terms] "re-considering" one's faith or theological position every day of the week is in no way virtuous, but as Phil said, is not an exercise of humility, but unbelief. Let's face it: steadfast immovability is one of those virtues that has lost its luster in these postmodern times. "Epistemological ...

A Half-hearted, Listless, Dead-and-Alive Way
Just read last Sunday's "Weekly Dose of Spurgeon" at the TeamPyro blog. I believe we can take it as a very sound reminder for our own souls in the issue of being neither cold nor hot in our service to Christ. This section of the quote impressed to me the most: In such communities everything is done in a half-hearted, listless, dead-and-alive way, as if it did not matter much whether it was done or not. ...

Microblogging at NewDemonstration
I finally setup N.D. to be able to support "micro-blogging"! I'm hoping to use this new feature to be able to post links and choice resources, articles for all the readers here. Also, I'll also use this for the more random posts. You can check out how it looks like over at the front page!:) (Though the single view looks like any other post still.)
