For those of you who are connected with me on facebook, you would know, well at least the few of you would know that I’ve been taking tries on hymnodies and lyrical theology, most of which I’ve posted on my other site, Nothing but a Feeble Saint. Starting this Lord’s day, every Sunday, I will be posting great hymns of the Christian faith, and from time to time hymns that I’ve written myself.

It is my prayer that even in some small way you dear reader would be edified with this as you embark on worship on the Lord’s day.

As for the first post in this series, a hymn that I have written earlier this morning:

O, what grace is this for Christ to die,
for Christ to die for someone like me?
What grace is this for Christ to fly
from Heaven’s gate to Calvary?

Dear soul, do you not see the infiniteness
of grace poured out for Thee?
A Holy God with wrathful eyes,
with hateful, vengeful hate for Thee?

Instead of taking you this day,
this very moment to eternal Hell,
Christ came to Earth in your stead,
freely did for you wretch’d rebel,

He lived a life of perfect pace,
He ran the race that you did fail,
He lived a life in perfect obedience,
that His justification may to you befell.

And yet the sinless Savior lived,
to come to earth to die for Thee,
for you who are born in sin, in sin you lived,
eternal life was given you a guarantee.

O, what grace is this for Christ to die,
for Christ to die for someone like me?
The grace that took all my lies,
my sin and death and set me free.

O, Lord take my feeble soul,
my weak feeble heart’s cry,
for in the face of sin and temptation,
I can do no other, I cannot help but lie

helpless on the floor of death,
strengthless helpless to do what is good,
for even in light of what Christ has paid,
apart from grace I am but a sinful fool.

O Lord take me to the throne of Grace,
and never let me go.
Slay me, beat me, mold me,
that Christ alone may be behold.

O Lord take me to the throne of Grace,
and never let me go.
Slay me, beat me, mold me,
that Christ alone may be behold.

O, what grace is this for Christ to die,
for Christ to die for someone like me?
The grace that took all my lies,
my sin and death and set me free.

    Hello Sandra!

Welcome to New.Demonstration! Thank you for visiting us.

Ah yes, what grace indeed! What amazing grace! He wasn't obligated to save us but yet in His grace and in His mercy, He saw it fit to save such as we are.
