Happy Reformation Day!

It’s Reformation day today! On this day in 1517 the reformation began with Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses on the door of the Wittenberg church. May we remember in all gladness and agony the pains the reformers went through for God’s truth to be exalted once again. Let us not forget the costs that were paid and the blood that was shed for our convenience. Let us look into our Bibles remembering what these men had done in Christ, to Christ and for Christ, that in our hands we may receive in freedom the Word of God. This same Word of the Living God let us remember that what they have fought for is not simply for the availability of letters and sentences, but what the reformers fought for is God, the truth of our sovereign God, the truth of the gospel and the sufficiency of His grace.

In this time let us exalt Him above all else once again in an increasing measure.

Sola scriptura!i
Sola fide!ii
Sola gratia!iii
Solus Christus!iv
Soli Deo gloria!v
