Recently at the Academy Awards, Sean Penn was Awarded as the best actor in his performance in the movie Milk. The movie Milk, for those of you not familiar, is an adaptation of Harvey Milk’s life. In essence it was one of the pivotal events that led to the “open acceptance” of homosexuality in the United States of America.

I wonder how the majority of the Christian world would respond to the statements made by Mr. Milk in his acceptance speech above?

I personally am offended, utterly offended with this one sided monologue and bigotry in the name of free speech.

They say that all they are after is for the equality of rights among all men? Equal rights? Should that not be an insult to those who have come before us who have actually fought, bled and died for those rights in the establishment of governments and republics?

An equality of rights to redefine what Marriage actually is into something that they in their minds seem right to them? To subjugate what is moral and True to their own twisted idea of truth?

It is so sad that this reality is coming into fruition today. God’s judgment upon man is being revealed ever more. The hardening of men’s minds and hearts, being given to the lusts of their flesh.

Yet most Christians would stay silent in such blatant bigotry and spitting-on the Christian faith, all in the name of ecumenicalism and peace.

I wonder how many of us would know what it means when Matthew Henry said:

How can I endure existence if Christ is to be so dishonored?
