Would you let Hillsong church preach to your child? I’m sure such an inquiry would have most of today’s Christian Parents more than delighted to oblige. We would certainly love it for those “godly men and women” to preach to our kids. But in this case I am forced to say that only those deluded and blinded from the truth would want such a thing for their Children.

I remember Paul Washer saying, “I would never let my child near 99.9% of today’s Children Ministry/Sunday Bible Schools.” Why is that? If what is presented in the video below is a heretical misrepresentation of the Gospel of Scripture would you yourself let your child near 99.9% of today’s Churches who preach that same heresy and half truths?

This is Hillsong supposedly “ministering” to children.

Let us not exercise the utmost of disrespect and arrogance towards our children. It is God’s message, it is only ours to proclaim. Your children are smarter than you know, do not treat them otherwise. If you don’t know what the message of the gospel really is, one that truly convicts of sin and repentance and faith to the Lord Christ Jesus then have a taste by watching the video below.

Of course I’m not saying that we should not be discerning in the approach and language we use. What I’m saying is that in our discernment of preaching the gospel even to children, the message must never be dumbed down. Trust that it is the work of the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin and it is Christ who saves and be convinced when Paul says, “It pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” (1 Cor 1:21)
