Prayer

If you have come to know the Lord why wouldn’t you want to pray? Is He not worthy enough for you? Do we not love much Him that was marred for our sake? Oh, if you come to know Christ, come to Him. Seek the joy of the indwelling of His Spirit, the sight of the glories of the Master. What more can we ask but simply cry out as a weeping child, “My Jesus, what would I be without you?”

“If you abide in Me and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.”(John 15:7)

What priviledge, what joy have we. Abiding in the Lord, what more should we ask? Isn’t abiding in Him and He in us enough? But if it were anything He would give us, the prayer of one saved by Grace would be as such: “Oh dear Lord, I wouldn’t want anything else but you. Though dear Lord as you have promised, prosper me so only as you will.”

Would a man saved by Grace wish of the things that comes from a depraved heart? Mansions? Cars? The world? No. No. For the Lord is enough for His soul! The very thoughts of His renewed mind is the will of the Father!

“My Lord, what would you have me do? I cannot help to ask anything else but You. As the men of old had said, ‘let it be so not as I will, but as You will.’ If anything be given upon me, dear God, please make so that You would prosper me only that I may prosper You in the preaching of the Cross, not for anything more, not for anything less, Amen.”
