Theology in Gospel Proclamation?!

Pastor Jim put it so plainly in this clip about the importance of theology in Gospel proclamation. Because in the final analysis of the issue, a Gospel call devoid of theological thought, of true Biblical thought, can not help anyone. Can not save anyone. Should it not be the normative Christian thinking to base all things to the Word of God? But why is it, in preaching the most important message in all of Scripture, preaching ...

I Count All Things to be Loss. . .

I never realized how beautiful the letter to the Philippians was 'till I heard Pastor Jim preach from it. Finally, by the Spirit of God, it makes so much sense. Not only does it make sense, but it's beauty is so grand and glorious, the message of the Gospel! Why, oh, why, to a wretch like me? All glory and honor to the sovereign God of the universe for the depths, heights, and the extents ...

Defining Worship: In Spirit and In Truth.

Do you know how you're going to recognize the spiritual deceivers from the true ministers of God? Anything that appeals to you, your ego, your flesh, your desires, and then feeds that in you is taking you down the wrong path. Because it's saying: "It is about you. Come join our worship it's all about you. Come be part of us and we'll make you feel good about you." It's about God. It's about God singularly. ...

Why Don’t All Men Believe?

How does salvation work? How does faith work? Why do we say things like "if you just allow God to", or "if only you would choose to believe?" Where does this kind thinking come from? Are we to accept what the Bible means when it says that the Lord Christ Jesus is the "author and perfecter of faith" ((Hebrews 12:2))or are we still to run off with our "buts"? "But you need to choose Him." ...

Life’s Toughest Question.

Here we have another excerpt from Grace Christian Assembly's Q&A Section. In this excerpt Jim McClarty answers an interesting question: "How would you go about structuring a message titled: answering life's toughest questions?" I have a brief answer. Woody Allen said in one of his films (they all run together at some point) that humans spend their time creating trouble and dilemmas in their life so that they won't have to face the really big ...

What Did Jesus Accomplish on the Cross?

What did Jesus accomplish on the Cross? How you answer that question says a lot about your theology. Because there are a great many people in the modern Church world, when you ask them, "What did Jesus accomplish on the Cross?", are forced to say, "not much." What did He accomplish? Well, The most that they might give Him, is they might say, "Well He paid the sin penalty for everybody who ever lived without ...

What You Believe?

Starting today, every Wednesday's, or maybe some other day of the week, once a week, we will be posting excerpts from the Grace Christian Assembly (Salvation by Grace) Question and Answer section (Of course with Pastor Jim McClarty's permission to do so). This particular excerpt is taken from the section entitled What You Believe?. The Question: I recently had a conversation with a person who said, 'I believe that God wants everyone to be saved. Doctrine and Unity.

The thing that is most lacking in the Church today is sound doctrine, thus what is ultimately lost due to that loss is the unity of the faith. httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n6L-swa_sU Jim McClarty @ SalvationbyGrace.org
