Since it was first launched back in October 2007, from our days in Blogger.com to a self-hosted WordPress site, we have gone through six design changes, three in this year alone. It would not be far-fetched to say that the design process and progress in design reflects quite well God’s working upon this humble servant.
Life has been hard. If you don’t think life is hard, live a while longer, it’ll come to you soon enough.
But what I’ve proven over and over again, is that though all strength of my bones are all but lost, the glory of the noon-day sun has grown dim, the comfort of the stars turned pitch-black, when life is dark and weary, when the feeling of lostness in the chasm of this profane world has overtaken me in the blackness of my sin, a tune suddenly hums, a hum suddenly sings, “the Blood still reaches deeper than the stain has gone.”
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
And to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus says the Lord!”Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!—Louisa M. R. Stead, ’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Nevertheless, I am continually with you;
you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.—Psalm 73:23-26
When I stand before the throne,
Dressed in beauty not my own,
When I see Thee as Thou art,
Love Thee with unsinning heart,
Then Lord, shall I fully know—
Not till then—how much I owe.—Robert M. McCheyne, When This Passing World is Done
There’s a lot of new features in the site. I did my best to make the reading experience easier, better, and over-all more pleasing and enjoyable. If you have thoughts on the new design, comments and suggestions do tell me, I’d love to hear them.
All praise to the Name of the Savior who Reigns!
