About New Demonstration

New.Demonstration (N.D.) is a blog that opened on October of ’07. It was the year that God first brought me to the road of reformation and of salvation. It was my desire to make known again the old blessed truths of the Christian faith that saints of times past cherished so dearly. In the words of Leonard Ravenhill: “What we need is not a new definition of Christianity, but a new demonstration of Christianity!” Thus, the brand and title for the blog came to be: “New.Demonstration”.

N.D. is a sovereign grace reformed blog with it’s purpose, desire and only delight, the glory of God. If our sovereign King sees it fitting to use this site for the salvation of even one soul N.D. has fulfilled it’s purpose. We labor to inform the reforming, guiding pilgrims to the Celestial City with choice quotes and articles grounded in truth in the Gospel of God (to the defense of the same) once for all given to the saints (Jude 3).

In the Holy Scriptures we take our stand, in it’s inerrancy, infallibility and sufficiency. We are committed to the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

  1. What a blessing to have these "truth" articles published. I call it the real Gospel not the soft pedaled Gospel that is preached today! I came to your website by searching yahoo for quotes on costless religion! My newsletter article for this quarter is going to be entitled, "Derailed by the Disneyland Gospel!" The points will be 1) No Hell 2)No Cost 3) No Suffering, 4) No Sacrifice. All this is a part of that Disneyland Gospel that is being preached! Blessings, Pat

    • Sounds great Pat! I was taught early on my walk in Christ that salvation is free, but it ain't free for nothing! I will be praying for your endeavors.

  2. I just stumbled onto your site. Keep up the Christ-centered focus; very encouraging!

    • Thank you brother. I must say though, you’re site has been equally (if not a ton more) encouraging for me and many others all over the world! Keep fighting the fight of faith!

In your "quote box" is something from Calvin as follows:

“It is certain that if we come to church we shall not hear only a mortal man speaking but we shall feel (even by His secret power) that God is speaking to our souls, that He is the teacher. He so touches us that the human voice enters into us and so profits us that we are refreshed and nourished by it. God calls us to Him as if He had His mouth open and we saw Him there in person.”

    — John Calvin, Manifestation of God in Public Exposition

I cannot find the title ("Manifestions of God…") other than on your blog. Can you give me more so I can find it?

    • Hello, Jim. I originally found that quote here: [link]

Perhaps you can ask the author of the blog about the source of the quote and if it's still available in print or online reading.

What a wellspring of blessings I found this morning when I discovered this website…. I was so thirsty fighting the battles of cheap grace and denials of truth around me, I awoke this morning as if faint with discouragement and sorrow. But upon reading the articles here, I have drunk from the refreshing springs of glorious Truth of Scripture — undiluted, untainted, unaccommodated — and can sing to the Lord with a thankful heart, “I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to You before the gods. I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name. On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul.”
